Dear Parents/Guardians,
This is a reminder that school breakfast and lunch remain FREE for all students in Minnesota.
The only change this year is our food service platform. Any balances previously in PayPams have been transferred to Infinite Campus.
We also encourage families to complete the Educational Benefits Application available in the Parent Portal. Even though meals are free, submitting this application may qualify your family for waived or reduced fees for things like sports, field trips, and other school activities/fees.
Please note that any existing funds in your student’s account can be used for à la carte items or to purchase a second meal.

Cloquet Public Schools last day of school will be Friday, May 30th! Please note the early dismissal times per building. Have a fantastic summer break and enjoy your well-deserved time off!

REMINDER - NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2024

Cloquet Families,
We’re always looking for individuals who may have an interest in subbing in our schools as teachers or paraprofessionals. If you have some flexibility in your weekly calendar, it can be a great way to learn more about our schools, support the development of our children, and earn some extra money. It’s extremely flexible work. You only pick up jobs on the days you’re interested and only in the buildings you wish to work. It can also be very rewarding to have a positive impact in the day of a child. If you think you may have interest in occasionally supporting our schools or now someone else who may, please look at the qualifications below and share them as needed.
Teacher qualifications – a person can secure a short-call substitute teaching license to serve as a daily substitute teacher with any four-year degree from an accredited university/college. If you have a four-year degree and are interested in subbing occasionally, district office staff can support you in connecting with the proper state office to submit paperwork. Call Jessica Loons at the district office between the hours of 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 879-6721 ext 6205. There is a small fee for background check and licensing application with the state.
Paraprofessional qualifications – a person interested in substituting as a paraprofessional needs to have completed 60 college credits or must pass a paraprofessional exam provided through the school district. The exam focuses primarily on reading and math skills. Interested subs need not pass the exam before applying. There is a small fee for a background check before being approved to substitute. Call Jessica Loons at the district office between the hours of 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 879-6721 ext 6205 in order to receive paperwork to apply as a paraprofessional substitute.
