Dear Parents/Guardians and Incoming Freshmen

First of all, we would like to welcome you to Cloquet Senior High School.  We are very excited about the upcoming year and are looking forward to working with you and your family.  We know this can be a time filled with many emotions from excitement and anticipation to nervousness and questions.  In order to help make this year a smooth and comfortable transition, we have scheduled a Freshmen Orientation for all incoming grade 9 students on THURSDAY, August 28, 2025. 

Students will learn how to view their schedules and will be given a tour of our building in addition to providing an excellent opportunity to meet other students and school staff.  We hope orientation will ease their transition and provide them with answers about life at the high school.  We are determined to do all that we can to ensure success among our students. 

The following is an agenda for the orientation:

• Based on your students' homeroom, they can be dropped off at main doors, CHS Door 1, at the time below

• Students will receive a 120 minute tour through the High School led by junior/senior Link Crew leaders

• Students will exit and be picked up by Door 10

• Students are responsible for their own transportation to this event

• This is an event for students only

• Chromebooks will be distributed after orientation in the CHS Media Center.

• Counselors will be available to make schedule changes for 9th graders on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Availability is on a first-come basis. Changes that can be made WITHOUT adversely affecting class balance will be considered.
