Governor’s Recent Announcement 12.22.20
The Governor announced new requirements which allow the option for school districts to return elementary students to full in-person instruction, even when county case rates remain elevated, beginning January 18 th. If districts choose to return students to in-person or hybrid learning, the implementation must use a phased approach with no more than 3 grade levels returning to each building per each two week period. Many of the other previous restrictions remain in place, which may impact a district’s ability to bring students back to classrooms. Districts still have the option to remain in hybrid or distance learning. Also, families have the option to continue to distance learn throughout the 2020-21 school year.
