Transportation

Cloquet Public Schools partners with Cloquet Transit Company to provide safe, reliable transportation for our students. We have proudly worked with Cloquet Transit for decades to support the needs of our school community.

General Information

Transportation is available for eligible students who live within the district. Eligibility is determined according to district guidelines and state statute requirements. Routes, stop locations, and schedules are managed by Cloquet Transit in collaboration with the district.

Bus Eligibility and Services

Students living more than one mile from their assigned school are generally eligible for transportation services.
Parents/guardians must complete any required transportation forms annually to ensure accurate routing and updates.
If your child requires transportation to an alternate address (such as daycare), a transportation request form must be submitted to Cloquet Transit in advance.
All routing and pickup/drop-off decisions are coordinated through Cloquet Transit; changes cannot be made by bus drivers.

Safety and Expectations

Student safety is our top priority. Cloquet Transit and the district work together to promote safe practices on and around school buses. Students and families are expected to:

Be at the bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
Wait in a safe location, away from traffic.
Follow all bus conduct expectations, including respectful behavior and listening to the driver’s instructions.
Practice safe routes to and from bus stops with younger children.

Special Circumstances

Transportation accommodations are provided as required by law for students with disabilities and unique needs in coordination with the district’s special education team and Cloquet Transit.
