Secondary Transition Resource Booklet

Transitioning out of high school into the “real world” can be a very stressful and emotional time for both students and families. There is a lot of information to be aware of when planning for life after high school. This booklet was organized to assist families, students, and educators with the necessary information for community resources and transitional information within St. Louis, Carlton, Lake, Pine, and Aitkin counties.

Early Intervention Services

Some babies and young children need extra help to learn and grow. Free help is available to Minnesota children from birth to five years of age (prekindergarten) who are eligible, according to the guidelines set in Minnesota law. Children can receive services in their home, child care setting or school. Early childhood specialists will work with eligible children and families to plan services and the supports they need. Services may include specialized instruction from a teacher, speech therapist, occupational therapist, or physical therapist; tips and strategies that a family can use to support their child's development in everyday activities; and connections to community services.

Cloquet TSES Manual and Restrictive Procedure Plan

This document serves as the Total Special Education System Plan for Cloquet School District ISD #94 in accordance with Minnesota Rule 3525.1100. This plan also includes an assurance for compliance with the federal requirements pertaining to districts’ special education responsibilities found in United States Code, title 20, chapter 33, sections 1400 et seq., and Code of Federal Regulations, title 34, part 300. This document is a companion to the Application for Special Education Funds – Statement of Assurances (ED-01350-29).
