My name is Sarah Lemae, and I have been the School Counselor at Churchill Elementary since 2018 and look forward to more years to come. As the School Counselor, I see students individually to work on Coping Skills, discuss and solve friendship problems, and talk through upsetting life events. I also go to all the classrooms to teach social emotional lessons to help Churchill students manage their stress, work on friendship skills, and teach them how to advocate for themselves. Small groups called Lunch Bunches are also groups I run during lunch periods to work on friendship concerns, help students develop their friendships, and talk about challenges. I look forward to working with all the families and students of the Churchill community.

My name is Jamie Jazdzewski and I am the School Counselor at Cloquet Middle School. I have been the School Counselor here since 2003. I love Cloquet schools and chose to move here when my children started school so they could receive an outstanding education. I spend my day working with middle school students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups helping them through life challenges. We solve many conflicts with friends, process family changes, and set goals for their future.  I also spend time in the classroom teaching them tools to work through their anxieties, stress and emotions. Students experience many developmental changes during their middle school years and I do my best to help them navigate through all of them. I am here to support students and their families through these awkward and exciting years!

My name is Niki Whittet and I am a school counselor at Cloquet Middle School. I started with the district in June of 2021. CMS is a wonderful school, but that doesn’t mean our students won’t face challenges while they are here. Middle school can be a tough time for a lot of us! I would like your child to know that there is always an adult at the school who will be on their side, cheering them on. As a school counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, personal, and social development of all students. I do this through classroom lessons, small groups, and one-on-one meetings. I’m excited to be able to continue being a support for all students at CMS.

I look forward to working with you this upcoming school year!

This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good
