Health and Nursing Services

Cloquet Public Schools Health Services team collaborates with educational and support services within the schools and the community to promote and resolve health concerns that create barriers to learning. Our Health Services team is made up of a Licensed School Nurse/RN, LPNs, and health paraprofessional. This team has a unique understanding of students’ physical, social and emotional health and resulting impact on learning.

Each school is staffed by either an RN/LPN or a Health Paraprofessional during school hours.
A Licensed School Nurse (LSN/RN) is available to all buildings on a full-time basis to the LPNs and health paraprofessionals by phone.

Health Services Duties

  • Provide routine and emergency first-aid care to students and staff with illnesses and injuries.

  • Provided care to students with chronic medical conditions as delegated by the LSN.

  • Maintain documentation of immunizations and other health-related services.

It is our goal to provide health-related services that strengthen the educational process, in partnership with parents, the community, and school staff.
