Enrollment Information

Cloquet Public Schools is committed to providing a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. We are proud to partner with families to support student success from early childhood through graduation.

Whether you are a new family to the district or returning for another school year, the information below will guide you through the enrollment process.

New Families to Cloquet Public Schools:

Families who are new to Cloquet Public Schools need to complete the online registration before their child begins school. (This option is for families that have no students currently enrolled)

To Get Started:

  1. Confirm residency within the Cloquet Public Schools attendance area.

  2. Complete online registration using the district’s enrollment portal.

  3. Submit required documentation directly within the online registration, which may include:

    • Birth certificate

    • Immunization records

    • Proof of residency (lease, utility bill, etc.)

  4. Families who live outside the district boundaries must also complete the Open Enrollment process.

Returning Families:

Families with students already enrolled in Cloquet Public Schools should review and update their information annually.

Returning families should:

  • Log in to the Parent Portal

  • Verify and update student and/or household information

  • Register a new student by selecting More > Online Registration > New Student within the Parent Portal

Keeping your information up to date ensures you receive important school communications and services.

Open Enrollment:

Minnesota allows families to apply for open enrollment if they reside outside district boundaries. Open enrollment applications are subject to state guidelines and deadlines.

Families are encouraged to apply early, as space may be limited.
