Alternative High School

Traditional classroom setting with four classes taught by a teacher licensed in each field. Small class sizes for students. Grade level curriculum is taught, but accommodations can be made for students on an IEP. Students will receive physical education, science and study skills instruction by a licensed Special Education teacher. Students can receive extra support in their traditional class by special education staff.

Targeted Services for grades 2-8

The goal of targeted services is to improve teaching and learning and to enable participants to meet the challenging State performance standards that all children are expected to master. To accomplish this goal, a targeted assistance instructional strategy gives primary consideration to extended-time strategies, provides accelerated, high-quality curricula, and minimizes removing children from the regular classroom during regular school hours; coordinates with and supports the regular education program; provides instruction by highly-qualified and trained professional staff; and implements strategies to increase parental involvement.

Alternative Middle School

Extended Day High School

Students 16 years old and older have an opportunity to make up credits they are missing in a regular high school setting.  Dual enrollment students (students currently enrolled in high school) must have permission from their counselor or principal to participate.  Each student will be evaluated on an individual basis as to how many credits they are eligible for based on what classes they have taken since June of the previous summer.  Please contact your student's counselor for registration information.
