Winter Classes

  • Winter private swim lessons are now open to sign up.

    Register online, call or stop in the Community Ed office.
    Private lessons can either be one student, or two students if they are very similar in swim ability.

    Excellent way to get your swim workout in for the day!
    Swim cards for purchase at Community Ed office.
    Fee: $3.50 per visit.

  • Carlton County has been accepted into the Rural Child Care Innovation Program (RCCIP), a community engagement process designed to address the challenges of child care in rural areas through the lens of economic development. A program of First Children’s Finance and funded by the MN Department of Human, the RCCIP guides communities in developing solutions that address their unique needs. The purpose is to support existing early care and education businesses and to increase the supply of high quality affordable child care. Part of this process involves gathering information about the current child care climate in Carlton County and the needs of county residents. If you live or work in Carlton County please take the time to complete this brief survey.

    Water Safety Instructors are needed to teach swim lessons this year! 

    Our swim lessons are in high demand and we need instructors to meet that demand! 
    Must be 16 years or older. 
    WSI: $12.56/hour

  • There will be a 2.59% transaction fee automatically charged each time you register and pay for a class using a credit or debit card.

    Weather Cancellation Policy

    If Cloquet Schools are cancelled Community Education offerings are also cancelled. Cancellations due to bad weather will be announced on WKLK 96.5 FM, 1230 AM and also on local television stations.
    In case of a 2 hour delayed start - ECFE and Time for Tots classes that normally start before 10am are cancelled. Classes that are scheduled to start at 10am or later that day will be held as normal. 
    Cancellation/Refund Policy: Registrants will be contacted if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment and full refunds will be given. A registrant who wishes to cancel from a class must do so at least 2 business days prior to the start of class (or the published deadline if it is earlier) in order to be considered for a full refund. There will be a $3 cancellation fee.
